We're not really proper photographers but Ben was given a pretty nice Camera for his 21st and we've been messing around ever since.

Water

So its been quite a wet summer here, and apparently we will be having more on our way. We have such a strange relationship with water. It can be so destructive and life threatening and yet essential for our life.

In England it can seem like we have too much of it sometimes, so maybe we struggle a bit to really get Jesus offer: Come to me and I will give you streams of living water (John 4). Maybe if I grew up in a desert I'd get it more.

Dragonfly

This is quite an old photo I found again recently. It was just an amazing moment watching this big bug, and being able to capture it on photo. Of all my own photos this, this is my favourite.

Trip to Rome

We went to Rome a couple of weeks back. We took a team from our church to visit/help/hang around some friends of ours who are planting a church for youngsters like ourselves. It was a pretty amazing time but I've already put up some reflections on my blog http://www.benaskew.blogspot.com. Here are a few pics which might give a flavour of the trip.

Spring Icons

Pictures I took a while back of spring arriving.

The two hawthorn photos may not be great quality but they are summarise what spring/easter is to me. On these grey, dead, seemingly lifeless branches you suddenly get bursts of green. Cool. The winter seems to be ending and summer is announced.

Where oh death is your sting...? 1 Corinthians 15:55
