Winter Gardens, Sheffield

Cool Shadows on the floor
This is one of my favourite places, not so much because of the plants but bacause of the building. Its so big and light. You have space to really breathe inside. And sit and stare at the wood and glass arches for ages.

In some ways it feels like a big glass cathedral.

If only all public spaces could be designed like this.

I loved shadow. He was my favourite gladiator...but then he turned to drugs. Shame that one would feel that they had to tamper with one's self when already beautifully crafted from the clay of the earth by the Lord God Almighty. Thu 7-Apr-2005 19:43

This was a club night type extravaganza that I was involved in setting up at our Church. The aim was to inform and inspire about issues of social justice (particularly trade). The night was amazing, there are written reviews at http://www.benaskew.blogspot.com and http://www.redemptiondesign.co.uk/angel_archives/blog.htm.

More photos will follow as I get them developed. (Still stuck in the analogue age for financial reasons).

Sheffield Bus

Bus in Sheffield
This one was taken with our small point and clicky digital camera, hence the poor quality. But I still like it. I like the busses in Sheffield.
